Emely was my first candle model, I completed the sculpture of her in January 2024. It took 4 sessions I think. We did a lot of chatting, but it allowed me to sink into the roll of hairdresser or dentist - half listening, but engaging enough to distract my interlocutor from the large swath of their time that I was taking up. I'm quite proud of it.
